At 555 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms near Buck Shoals, or 12 miles south of Ronda, moving southeast at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... North Wilkesboro... Elkin... Wilkesboro... Jonesville... Ronda... Boomer... and Windy Gap. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
